three things that worked wonders for a crappy mood.
Not bad for the first meet 1:22.65 for 600, won my heat 4th overall, split a 51.2 on the 4x4 on cruise control. Not where I wanna be but I’ll take it
The toughest part of racing isn’t the race itself, it’s the nervousness.
So we have a meet tomorrow at APU, my first race this season, and some of UCLA’s mid distance crew is gonna be there, I’ve been wanting to race them cause I want to transfer and run at UCLA, but I’m a weekend too late, last weekend they all ran the 600m, this weekend they’re all running the 800m, and I’m dong a 600m this weekend instead of the 800m, weeeeeaaaaakkkk, Oh well I guess I’ll just compare times.
500, 400, 300, 200
1:08, 54, 39, 24
so we had our actual hard workout today, it was kind of a bitch considering we thought we’d be running 200m repeats, it was more of a mind fuck than anything, thank God the workout went by so quickly.
Weather sucked, rainy and cold, by California standards, too cold for anything really fast so we just knocked em out and got out of there, didn’t even take times, turned into a shakeout for the real workout tomorrow.
Bernard Lagat for the 5k American indoor record at 13:07 and Lawi Lalang for the collegiate indoor record at 13:08 both at the millrose games and Galen Rupp for the 2 mile American indoor record at 8:09 at the usatf classic!! I’ll post pics later.
